Overview

A production control plane for Raspberry Pi OS fleets. It provides the same operational shape as Proxmox Datacenter Manager: a global dashboard, fast search, aggregated task logs, guest lifecycle actions, and software-update visibility — adapted to Raspberry Pi hosts and Docker containers.

The Problem

Proxmox Datacenter Manager is a great tool for managing a datacenter, but it's not a good fit for Raspberry Pi OS fleets.

The Experience

  • View live health, CPU/memory/disk pressure, load averages, SoC temperature, undervoltage/throttle flags, and outlier highlighting from Global dashboard.
  • Fast global search across remotes, containers, apt packages, tasks.
  • Start/stop/restart any Docker guest the agents can see.
  • Review pending packages and refresh all remotes queues a new apt scan.
  • Inspect command output and failures.
  • rotate the enrollment token, create remotes, change the admin password.

Technology

  • Built with FastAPI and SQLite.
  • Uses React SPA for the frontend.
  • Uses Docker for containerization.

Technical Decisions

  • Use FastAPI for the backend because it's a lightweight backend framework.
  • Use SQLite for the database because it's a lightweight database.
  • Use React SPA for the frontend because it's a lightweight frontend framework.
  • Use Docker for the containerization because it's a lightweight containerization library.
